The Armed Saboteur (Official Name: Tactical Melee Craft Armed Saboteur) is the player fighter in ALLTYNEX Second. It was created by humanity in 2232 AD in a final effort to reclaim Earth from the genocidal ALLTYNEX OS. As one of 108 fighters, the player pilot, known as Gehena Dennis, flies deep into the defenses of ALLTYNEX in a desperate struggle.
The craft itself can transform into a somewhat slower-moving semi-mech form, similar in look to GERWALK mode from Macross, that is capable of using four different weapons:
- Frontal Shot - Main weapon of Fighter Mode, with that can increase up to five levels of power and spread. However, the power of the frontal shot is tied to the ship's Energy gauge, meaning that as the Energy Gauge's level decreases, so does the offensive power and spread of the frontal shot.
- Homing Lasers - Special weapon of Fighter Mode. When using the Type-B, the homing lasers are replaced with homing missiles which move in a wider arc but have a small spread explosion upon hitting a target. Firing this consumes the Energy Gauge.
- Energy Blades - Main weapon of Armor Mode, that not only can inflict high amount of damage, but can also destroy most enemy bullets as well. The Type-B's blades have a smaller hit area and must be aimed manually.
- Buster Beam - Special weapon of Armor Mode, which fires a powerful energy beam that can also destroy bullets. Firing this also consumes the Energy Gauge.
The ship also comes with a shield, allowing it to take two hits before being destroyed.
