Toaplan was a developer founded in 1984 by ex-Orca and Crux developers. Toaplan is best known for their shoot-em-ups, including Tiger-Heli, Twin Cobra and Zero Wing. The company went bankrupt in 1994.
In 2019, it was announced all their shoot-em-ups would be re-released on modern consoles by M2.
